PreSchool Education is conducted in our fine parish center. St John Pre-School has a superior, Catholic Faith-Based Education that nurtures a love of God and neighbor. Our school is a Safe Learning Environment that emphasizes discipline and respect.
Mission Statement
To provide opportunities for preschool children to grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, academically and physically in a welcoming and nurturing atmosphere in which we promote a love of God and of each other.
Curriculum
St. John Pre-School aligns their goals and criteria
consistent with the Connecticut Curriculum Framework. The pre-school curriculum framework
is organized by using the four domains of child development:
· Personal & Social Development
· Physical Development
· Cognitive Development
· Creative Expression & Aesthetic Development
Structure of the Program
The focus of our program is to promote developmentally appropriate learning experiences in a positive and accepting atmosphere. We believe education must be relevant, meaningful and fun. It must inspire the natural curiosity of each child. Learning is accomplished by providing a safe environment that challenges each child to explore their world through play.

A non-structured opportunity for children to select materials and/or activities of their own choice. Areas are set up with a variety of developmental learning centers that include art, blocks, sensory table, dramatic play, puzzles and games. The focus is on creativity, sharing, socializing, and decision making.
10:00 – 11:00 Bathroom, Snack &
Recess
Focus on gross motor skills development.
11:00 – 11:45 Circle Time/Story Time
