The Bible Study Groups are led by Maryann Knag, MAT, MAR.  Maryann is a professional educator with a degree in Sacred Scripture, Hebrew and Greek.  She teaches  within the guidelines of the Cathechism of the Catholic Church and Dei Verbum, the Constitution on Divine Revelation of Vatican II.  All who wish to deepen their faith and their understanding of the Bible are welcome, from Bible beginners to Bible scholars.  Just come with a Bible.

The groups are both prayer groups and Bible study classes.  We begin with prayer for ourselves, our families and others. We read directly from the Bible, passage by passage.   Maryann provides the historical, literary, geographical  and linguistic backgound, as we go.  The approach is both academic and spriritual.  Everyone shares insights as we are led by the Holy Spirit.  This is the place to ask all those spiritual and doctrinal questions you have wondered about ever since your childhood religious formation.  If Maryann does not know the answer, she will research it.

The classes study one book of the Bible at a time.  They have already completed Psalms, Genesis and Exodus.  Wednesday evening class has completed Leviticus and is studying Numbers and Deuteronomy.  The Thursday AM class is studying the Gospel of Luke.  Classes end for the summer the second week in June and resume the second week in September.
